We are a team of software engineers and business consultants. We help businesses and organisations succeed through innovative technology and specialised consulting.
VelvetSoft was founded in 2021 in Patras by graduates of the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras. Since then we have built websites, e-shops and applications, and we take part in research projects.
What our team brings
- Software engineering: Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask), PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, WordPress and React.
- Research: IoT, precision agriculture, smart greenhouses, agent-based modelling, machine learning, and more than twenty-five scientific papers in international journals and conferences.
- EU projects and ELKE: participation in more than ten national and European projects, and drafting proposals for Horizon and Erasmus.
- Public sector: experience from a position of responsibility in a municipality, in charge of EU and national funding programmes.

We do not have a ready-made package for everyone. We listen to what you need, propose a solution that fits your case and agree the scope and the price before we start. Then we work with clean, documented code and deliver in small steps. We keep learning and trying new tools, so we can always offer you the best solution.
