From the greenhouse to the Town Hall, we build the software that is missing.
Our team is made up of software engineers and business consultants. We take on the technical work in research and European projects, as partners or subcontractors, and we build websites, e-shops and applications that work.
Looking for a technical partner for a research project?
The members of our team have worked on Greek and EU projects on greenhouses, water and the circular economy, and we have written more than twenty-five scientific papers.

How we work
Understanding
We listen to your goal and agree on scope, timeline and a fixed price.
Building
We deliver in small pieces, so you can give feedback while the work is in progress.
Delivery and support
We train you to manage it and stay available for maintenance.
- The code, the content and the domain are yours.
- A fixed price, in writing, before we start.
- The same team builds and hosts your site.
Digital services for municipalities
We know how a municipality works from the inside. Our team has held a position of responsibility in local government, as deputy mayor for Environment, Energy and Planning, in charge of EU and national funding programmes.
In 2023 we delivered a consulting project for the Municipality of Topeiros, following all public procurement procedures.
- Websites for municipalities and public bodies
- A platform where citizens report problems, with a back-office for staff (LoveYourCity, in beta)
- Funding applications and feasibility studies
- Recycling and waste management planning
Frequently asked questions
Can you join a research project as a technical partner or subcontractor?
Yes, this is our main focus. We can join as partners in the consortium or as subcontractors for specific deliverables, such as the project website, an e-learning platform (Moodle) or a data platform. VelvetSoft has a PIC (860442478) in the EU Participant Register. Send us the call and what you need from the technical side.
Can you help with subsidies or EU funding?
Yes. We prepare business plans, feasibility studies and applications for Greek and EU funding programmes. Tell us your goal and we will look at which programmes fit.
How much does a website or an e-shop cost?
The price depends on the number of pages or products, the payments and shipping you need, integrations (for example a marketplace feed or accounting software) and how ready your material is. We give you a fixed price in writing before we start.
How long does it take?
A company website usually takes a few weeks and an e-shop about two months. Timing depends mostly on how quickly you send us texts, photos and products.
Do you work with businesses outside Patras?
Yes. We are based in Patras, but we have clients across Greece. We work over video calls and meet in person when needed.
Who owns the website after delivery?
You do. The code, the content and the domain are yours, and we hand over all the access credentials.
Do you offer maintenance and hosting?
Yes. We handle updates, backups and monitoring, and we can host your site. We also take over sites built by others.
Tell us what you need.
